The trunk still holds the trunk liner and spare tires which are the old fashioned mud and snow tires the jack and trunk liner are all in great condition as well. The air conditioning looks to be all in place as far as the pump and components but i will not guarantee it to blow cold air without re charging and refurbishing. The Year is 1966; most of America is hitting the open road for the family vacations each year. Long before airports and 747s were the way to go, cars were still how the family traveled. This was also long before SUVs and Mini Vans, back to a time when family’s talked to each other as they drove down the road, and they took the time to enjoy the back roads that connected this great nation. In 1966 there was no better way to do that than in a super cool, super cruiser, like the 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 Country Sedan wagon. It has Original 1966 interior that is in absolutely great condition. There are no tears or loose seems in any seats. The headliner looks great, and we put in new carpet. Thanks to it dual exhaust, and glass pack mufflers. The great Chrome wheels and baby moon hub caps make this as cool a wagon as we have ever owned or seen. It even has a custom hood scoop to finish off this old school, super tough muscle car’s look and feel. This car was in great shape when we purchased it. It has no rust that we have seen. It also was in straight original condition when we got it. The interior of this car is true old school 1966. As we all know Station wagons are getting very hard to find in good condition, due to the fact that they were over looked by car enthusiasts for many years. They are now one of the hottest tickets out there. I have driven this wagon daily the last several months with absolutely no problems. I will truly hate to see this one go. It is one of the finest, and most attention getting cars I have ever driven. Not in the garage, and this one is ready to roll. So grab the family, surf board, or both. It is powered by its original ford 428 4v big block v8 and original numbers matching c6 cruise-o-matic automatic transmission. This car was purchased in the high desert country of eastern washington. It was a very dry, totally original, untouched and unmolested car when we purchased it. This great tribute to the muscle car era of the mid 60's is as nice as we have seen. We had this beauty sanded down and repainted back to its factory candy apple red paint. It received a base coat, clear coat, then wet sanded and polished. It has had a new factory correct vinyl top installed and it has its original and very hard to find hub caps. The original dash is in great shape. It has its original wood steering wheel (only offered on the 7 litre). The original factory correct bucket seats are currently being reupholstered back to factory original, as are the rear seats. These 428 4v big blocks came from the factory with 345 hp. They were made to go fast and drive like a dream. This car is no exception. She drives great and goes very fast. With dual exhausts and a great stance, this car looks and sounds as tough as she really is. These cars are very hard to find. They just didn’t make very many of these big block beasts and a lot of them just didn’t survive the years of speed. This 1966 ford galaxie 500 fastback 7 litre would be a great addition to any ford or 60's muscle car collection. This car is perfect for the upcoming cruising season. I painted under the hood, added the offenhauser 4 bbl. Intake ~ running a rebuilt holley 2 bbl. For now, hedman dual exhaust headers, w/new dual exhaust and new cherry bomb glass packs ~ sounds sweet ! Needs front & rear window rubber seals, and back piece of cardboard ceiling liner ~ again, look @ pictures ! More about the truck: the paint is 2 coats of satin black {not perfect} but nice, the bed has been pulled off & has all new bolts, good breaks, everything works, no rust holes, but typical surface rust here and there {nothing major}, tow hitch, seat nicely recovered, 3 on the tree shifting, newer clutch, new fuel filter, i have new oil filter ready to be used, steering wheel is redone ... The point is > this is a nice sounding, running & driving truck. It's old & not perfect. The doors shut without slamming, but with the new rubbers installed it will be air tight. I even have all the chrome for the front glass & cab, but was waiting to see if i was going to change the color before adding the chrome & emblems. Has extremely low mileage @ 32838 miles.
